Wall-E

This may be old news to a lot of you out there, but Wall-E is an exceptional movie. Just watched it today, and even as a proud Pixar fan, I was still awed by the creators’ ability to capture so much emotion and so much creativity in a short animated film. Pixar achieved an almost mystical experience with no memorable quotes and only a collection of memorable moments.

If you have not yet seen this film, there is no excuse not to.

Another plus: the Pixar short at the beginning, “Presto”, was amazing. Much better than the forgettable “Boundin” and the mediocre “Lifted”.

For those of you who have experienced Wall-E, here are some links to hopefully further your appreciation.

Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog”

Not a Harry Potter fan? Here’s another recently released teaser trailer that should get you in a tizzy.
Disney is bringing back the hand drawn animated musical feature with “The Princess and The Frog“, a movie set in New Orleans and featuring a black princess. Not sure what Disney is trying to do with this one, but it is directed by the guys who brought us “The Little Mermaid” and “Aladdin” so it can’t possibly fail.

Not a Harry Potter fan or a Disney animation fan? Hopefully the yet to be overhyped James Bond movie “Quantum of Solace” can get your cold heart ticking.
